What are variables?

Variables are dynamic placeholders like {{first_name}} or {{company}} that pull information from your contact list. When a page is generated, these placeholders are replaced with each lead’s specific details.

Where can you use variables?

You can add variables in any text field of a Sendr template, including:

  • Headers

  • Subheaders

  • Bullet points

  • Call-to-action buttons

  • Custom embed codes

Each text box includes a sparkles icon (✨). Click it to insert any variable available in your contact list.

Common examples

  1. {{first_name}} → Hi Alex!

  2. {{company}} → Helping Launchpad Ventures grow

  3. {{job_title}} → Your role as Head of Sales

  4. {{competitor_name}} → Why teams switch from Lemlist

  5. {{pain_point}} → Struggling with low reply rates?

  6. {{goal}} → Hit your Q3 booking targets faster

The number of variables depends on your contact data

You can only use variables that exist in your uploaded contact list. If your list contains only names and emails, you’ll only be able to use those. The more complete your contact data, the more personalized your pages can be.

How to enrich contact data

You can use Sendr’s enrichments to pull in more information automatically.

Our LinkedIn Profile Enrichment only can provide detailed information about your leads - including first name, last name, current company, profile summary, industry, company logos and more!

You can use these enriched fields as variables in your templates. For example, the company logo column can be used to visually personalize your landing pages. (See how to use Sendr's Dynamic Logo feature).

Enrichment helps you add more variables without manual research, making your outreach more personalized and efficient.

Writing with variables

You can use multiple variables in a single sentence. For example:
Hi {{first_name}}, I saw you’re leading growth at {{company}}.

By combining dynamic variables with enriched contact data, you can turn a single template into hundreds of personalized pages that feel truly 1:1. The more complete your contact list, the more precise your messaging becomes. If you're just getting started, focus on a few key variables like {{first_name}} and {{company}}, then layer in additional fields as you enrich your leads.
