When building a personalized landing page in Sendr, one key decision is whether to use the Focus Message or the Header section - but you can’t use both. Each is designed for a different style of communication, so it’s important to understand the difference and choose based on your outreach goal.

The Focus Message Section

The Focus Message is designed to put your media front and center.

  • Ideal for video-first or audio-first messaging

  • Creates a Loom-style experience — the video or voice note becomes full-width

  • Comes with a short heading above the media (no subheading or CTA button)

  • Best for grabbing attention quickly and keeping the focus on the speaker

Use this when your message is best delivered through your voice or face - for example, a personal pitch, a product walkthrough, or a quick thank-you video.

The Header Section

The Header section is more structured and allows you to combine text with your media.

  • Includes a heading, subheading, and a call-to-action button

  • Media is embedded alongside the text, not full-screen

  • Great for text-based personalization - you can use variables like {{first_name}} or {{company}}

  • Allows for a more formal or marketing-style opening

Use this when you want to clearly communicate value in writing while still including a video or audio message. It’s also helpful when your CTA (like booking a call) is critical up front.

Which One Should You Use?

It depends on the purpose of your page:

  • Choose Focus Message when the media is the message - and you want a lightweight, video-first experience

  • Choose Header when you want to combine media with detailed text, variables, and a clear CTA

You can switch between them in the editor, but only one can be active per template.
