Overview

This automation listens for the Emoji Reaction event inside Sendr.

Whenever a lead reacts to a video with an emoji, a Slack message is instantly sent to your team with the lead’s details and the reaction type.

This ensures no engagement goes unnoticed and allows your team to respond or follow up quickly while interest is high.

What This Automation Does

When a lead:

• Watches your Sendr video
• Reacts with an emoji

The automation will:

• Capture the lead’s details (name, email, company if available)
• Capture the emoji reaction type
• Send a structured Slack notification to your chosen Slack channel

All in real-time.

Before You Begin

Make sure:

• Your Sendr page includes a video with emoji reactions enabled
• You have Slack connected inside the Sendr Automation Builder
• You have permission to post messages in your selected Slack channel

No webhooks are required — this uses Sendr’s native Emoji Reaction event trigger.

Step 1: Create the Trigger

  1. Go to Sendr → Automation Builder

  2. Click Create Automation

  3. Select Trigger Event → Emoji Reaction

  4. Choose the specific Page Template

  5. Click Save

This tells Sendr: “When a lead reacts with an emoji on this Page Template, start this automation.”

Step 2: Add Tool Execution (Condition Filter)

Add a condition to ensure the automation only runs for emoji reactions.

  1. Click + Add Step

  2. Select Tool Execution

  3. Choose Run on Condition

Configure the condition as follows:

• IF Event → Emoji Reaction
• Condition → Contains → video played emoji reaction
• Then → Continue Automation

Condition Logic:

✅ The automation only proceeds when the engagement specifically matches an emoji reaction
❌ Other engagement types (comments, page visits, etc.) will not trigger Slack alerts

Click Save once the condition is configured.

Step 3: Add Slack Notification

  1. Click + Add Step

  2. Choose Slack

  3. Select Send Channel Message to a Public Channel

  4. Choose your Slack workspace and channel

  5. Map the dynamic message fields (comes in the template)

Why This Extra Condition Matters

Adding the Tool Execution condition:

• Reduces false triggers
• Prevents engagement noise
• Ensures only emoji reactions send alerts
• Keeps Slack clean and actionable

Summary

Trigger: Engagement Event
Step 2: Condition → Value contains video played emoji reaction
Action: Send Slack Notification

This structured filtering ensures your team is notified only when a meaningful emoji reaction is made.
